Comic Book Rankings: 12/24/12-01/02/13

Rankings

Welcome all to my weekly ranking system! I’ve broken the comics into three groups (DC, Marvel, & Independent). Only comics that I purchase are included in the rankings. I’ll provide an explanation for each comic’s ranking (updates in blue) and highlight the movers and shakers on the list in green (moved up) and red (moved down). This week debuts the slightly tweaked look of Rankings, utilizing page breaks so it isn’t just one big article and enabling it be easier to navigate to the sections that interest you. Below you’ll find the different company’s logos. Click on that specific logo to be instantly taken directly to their specific Ranking page. Let me know how you like the new format in the Comments section.

  1. “Peter David is forever linked with X-Factor” That’s the problem. X – Factor’s success was so hugely depending on Peter David that now, with his health being so poor, Marvel managers are probably tearing their hair out.
I’m surprised I still haven’t heard anything about the future of X – Factor. There will be a new writer? The series will be closed or freezed? No one announced anything yet, as far as I know.

Perhaps he was so far ahead in his scripts that Marvel is doing a wait and see approach in case he gets better before the artists catch-up?
