Welcome all to my weekly ranking system! I’ve broken the comics into three groups (DC, Marvel, & Independent). Only comics that I purchase are included in the rankings. I’ll provide an explanation for each comic’s ranking (updates in blue) and highlight the movers and shakers on the list in green (moved up) and red (moved down). Below you’ll find the different company’s logos. Click on that specific logo to be instantly taken directly to their specific Ranking page or just continue onto the next page. Over the next few weeks I’ll be expanding the Rankings to include all the books I read. This week completes all the books that I currently have on my pull-list.

The Speech Bubble 
Since you’re a big fan of Easter Eggs, you’ll probably be glad to know that Lemire & Snyder are going on taking digs to the creators they don’t like: their last (and least) victim is Ann Nocenti. In Animal Man # 17, Swampy kill the Rot version of Katana, and a rotten Catwoman gets killed too in the very next panel (http://tessatechaitea.tumblr.com/post/43061596976/animal-man-17): too big a coincidence, don’t you think so?
P.S.: Tess’ comment to that panel is hilarious!
“Swamp Thing ends Ann Nocenti’s reign of terror.” Awesome! Didn’t even dawn on me when I first read it. Green Arrow was spared cause her run was done or else he would have been a victim to the slaughter as well. Talking about Katana, I haven’t heard too many positive things about the series but I’ll leaf through it tomorrow to see for myself. Glad I didn’t pre-order it though…
“Talking about Katana, I haven’t heard too many positive things about the series” I read only one review (http://weeklycomicbookreview.com/2013/02/14/katana-1-review/), and it gave Katana # 1 a good mark (B). Also, I liked the preview I saw a few days ago, so, despite miss Nocenti’s awful last works, I’m optimistic.

Last one is possibly Hulk’s purple pants? As for the others…I’m drawing a blank. I give up but I need to know the answer. Please. 🙂
Look at the last 4 clothes: the T – shirt has an E written on it, the pants create a V, the sock stands for an I and the second pants stand for an L. They compose the word E – V – I – L.
Just a few minutes ago I watched that panel again, and I thought that the complete word could be D – A – R – E – D .- E – V – I – L, but I’m not sure.
Mind = Blown! Looking at it, it does spell DAREDEVIL completely. Thanks for sharing as I normally wouldn’t have caught that. I was staring at it and staring at it and just couldn’t nail it. So cool! 🙂
