Comic Book Rankings: 03/28/13-04/03/13

Rankings

Welcome all to my Weekly Ranking System! I’ve broken the comics into three groups (DC, Marvel, & Independent). I will include a summary section in each entry to comment on any changes in spots. Only comics that I purchase are included in the Rankings. Below you’ll find the different company’s logos. Click on that specific logo to be instantly taken directly to their specific Ranking page or just continue onto the next page.

  1. These are the comic books I read in September 2013:

    Animal Man # 15
    Swamp Thing # 15
    Katana # 7
    The Phantom Stranger # 2
    Doom 2099 # 35
    I, Zombie Vol. 4

As you can see, I didn’t read many comics last month. The one I enjoyed most was Doom 2099 # 35, of course.
Once again September 2013 was my best month ever as a blogger: I got 1161 visits! But they have been drastically decreasing since my pc died, because of course I leave many less comments, so many less people get to know me.
What about you? September was a good month for your blog?

    • “The one I enjoyed most was Doom 2099 # 35, of course.”
And what would be your favourite NEW comic of the month?

“What about you? September was a good month for your blog?”
September was an alright month. Better then June & July though. My hope is that October might be one of my biggest months yet with the amount of posting I plan on doing! 🙂 I at least know it will eclipse last year’s October totals of 435 by a mile.

      • P.S.: Now that I think about it, I, Zombie Vol. 4 is a freshly published comic book here in Italy, but this volume was released in the U.S. in 2012, so we can’t consider it a new comic book. Therefore, my favourite new comic of the month is Katana # 7. Thank you for mentioning me in your anniversary post! : )

        • Anything fun or unexpected happen in that issue? Also, were you planning on picking up the Villains Month Creeper issue since its considered an extension of Katana despite them calling it Justice League Dark?

“Thank you for mentioning me in your anniversary post!”
You are welcome. You are a big presence on this blog and I appreciate it! 🙂

          • “Anything fun or unexpected happen in that issue?” Yes! A man predicted that Katana “will unleash an apocalypse of hellfire and blood in the world.” I hope we’ll get to know what this prediction means in issue # 8.
“Also, were you planning on picking up the Villains Month Creeper issue since its considered an extension of Katana despite them calling it Justice League Dark?” As you know, if I want to get an American comic book, I must order it the month it is solicited on the Diamond Preview. Unfortunately, when I found out that the Creeper issue was a Katana spin – off, it was too late.
Anyway, I don’t mind about it very much, because your review of the Creeper issue made me understand that it didn’t focus on Katana, but on a supporting character of her solo series, the possessed journalist, a character I couldn’t care less about. : ) Thank you for your reply! : )

As someone that doesn’t pickup the series, I always enjoy your bite sized recaps. I would have been lost in the Creeper issue without them. Thanks!

This was my main gripe with DC and Villains Month: senseless renaming of the titles to confuse fans…and decimal points. I understand why they did it (more people would buy Justice League Dark then Katana) but it was highly annoying.

“Anyway, I don’t mind about it very much, because your review of the Creeper issue made me understand that it didn’t focus on Katana, but on a supporting character of her solo series, the possessed journalist, a character I couldn’t care less about.”
              I’m glad I could help save you $3.99! 🙂
