In this feature I’ll highlight the upcoming comics that I’m looking forward to the most, the ones that are On My Radar:

“Put on your go-go boots and get ready to “Batusi” back to the Swingin’ 60s as DC Comics reimagines the classic Batman TV series in comics form for the first time! These all-new stories portray The Caped Crusader, The Boy Wonder and their fiendish rogues gallery just the way viewers remember them. In this first adventure, The Riddler’s out to steal some valuable artwork from under the noses of Gotham’s police. But Batman gets help from an unlikely source: a certain femme fatale dressed in feline finery!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
NEW SERIES ALERT! This “Digital First” series finally sees a printed version and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve heard nothing but positives in regards to the first few chapters that have been released so that is just an added bonus. I remember watching this show as a kid (many, many years after it first debuted) and I couldn’t get enough of it then so by reading this series I hope to relive my childhood once again. The only thing that could get me more excited is if the same week this issue sees print is the same week that a DVD release is finally announced as well.

“The shocking finale of the ‘Undercloud’ storyline is here! Plus, when an all-new Batgirl pops up in Neo-Gotham, it’s up to former Commissioner Barbara Gordon to decide if she’s friend or foe!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
This is it, the last issue of this series. It’s fitting that the final issue solely belongs to Batman Beyond which, in my opinion, was always the strongest section of this anthology series. It looks to go out with a bang as the promise of a new Batgirl and the intriguing mystery of just who is exactly behind the cowl is very enticing indeed. This isn’t the last we’ll see of Batman Beyond (this series is getting relaunched as Batman Beyond Universe next month after all) but I really hope this finale delivers a satisfying conclusion to this title in its current incarnation.

“Another “lost” Deadpool issue. . . this one from the ’70s! Deadpool hits the streets with Power Man & Iron Fist!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Last time Deadpool did a retro issue it was fantastic, arguably the best issue of this new volume of Deadpool. Will lightning strike twice? They’d be hard-pressed to top it but I’d love to see them try. Also…it’s got the Immortal Iron Fist! That in itself earns this issue a few points right there.

“‘TRINITY WAR’ part 2!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
The first part of this event delivered and exceeded my expectations. There was a death (or possibly two). There was Shazam finally getting to meet the other heroes in the DC Universe. There was Pandora. There was lots and lots of ominous fortune-telling. Now it’s time for the follow-up: the battle between the Justice League and Justice League of America. And where, oh where is the Justice League Dark? I can’t wait to see how this all unfolds!

With that said, the final tally stands at DC Comics (9 Issues), Marvel (7 Issues), and Independent (2 Issues). So that’s my Pull List for the week. What’s yours? What comics are you most looking forward to? Comment below!
The ones I’m looking forward to are All-New X-Men, X-Factor, Uncanny X-Force and Avengers Assemble. UXF actually has me particularly interested, because I want to see what developments we get for Psylocke and Cluster’s relationship.
A trio of X-Titles catches your eye? Colour me shocked! 🙂 Seriously though, I dropped UXF after the first five issues. Has it improved in your opinion since that opening arc? It was just too hard for me to justify that $3.99 price tag. I knew it wouldn’t match the quality of Remender’s run but it just wasn’t by cup of tea of either especially the way Psylocke was portrayed in that first five (all that swearing coming out of her mouth!).
It’s not up to the quality of the first half of Remender’s run. It’s blowing the second half of that run out of the water, because the second half of Remender’s UXF run was meh. Does it justify the $3.99 price? Maybe not. I’ve been enjoying it from the start. The last issue had a lot of flashbacks to Psylocke and the two non-evil Fantomexes in Paris, pulling heists, and eventually led to Psylocke and Cluster sharing a kiss. Which was, I thought, a really great development, and one that I hope continues. But if you didn’t like the first few issues, you probably still won’t like it. I’ve just been finding it tons of fun. It’s got a nice mix of humour and drama. Even if there’s been a shocking lack of Puck lately.
“It’s blowing the second half of that run out of the water, because the second half of Remender’s UXF run was meh.”
I actually enjoyed his run all the way through. His depiction of Deadpool from start to finish was perfect.

That does sound interesting. It’s too bad they didn’t get to that quicker. The opening act sort of dragged out to much in my opinion. Happy that you’re enjoying it though. I guess it is the better of the two X-Force books currently being released?
I’m liking UXF more. But Cable and X-Force is really good, too. Nemesis and Forge are the best buddy duo ever, and Boom Boom being added to the mix is a stroke of genius. I don’t think you can really go wrong with either one. CaXF is probably a little more accessible.
Good to know. I value your opinion as an “X-Men Xpert” 🙂
