In this feature I’ll highlight the upcoming comics that I’m looking forward to the most, the ones that are On My Radar:
Batgirl #26
Creative Team
Gail Simone and Fernando Pasarin
Solicitation
“The shocking conclusion of ‘Batgirl: Wanted’! Can Barbara save her father’s life without compromising the truth about her brother’s death?”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
How will this arc end? Will Commissioner Gordon finally learn the truth about his daughter? Will Batgirl stay on as Batgirl? I’m expecting a potential status quo shift with this storyline’s conclusion and the uncertainty of which way Simone will take us next has me absolutely riveted.

Batman #26
Creative Team
Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo
Solicitation
“ZERO YEAR continues! With Gotham City thrown into total chaos by The Riddler, Batman and Jim Gordon must learn to work together!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
What more can I really say about this series that I haven’t already said? If you are a fan of Batman and aren’t picking this up, you owe it to yourself to check this series out. If you aren’t a fan of Batman but enjoy superb comics, you owe it to yourself to check this series out.

Green Lantern Corps #26
Creative Team
Robert Venditti and Bernard Chang
Solicitation
“It’s Lantern vs. Lantern as John Stewart battles Hal Jordan for the leadership of the Corps! For months, John Stewart has let his anger build as Hal Jordan sent Guy Gardner into the Red Lanterns and declared war against other corps across the spectrum. After the devastating events of ‘LIGHTS OUT,’ John is determined to rebuild the Corps as he sees fit – even if it means taking down his oldest friend!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Stewart VS Jordan. Up until a few months ago I would have been solidly in Hal’s corner but ever since the new writer came on I have to say that Hal has demonstrated he is anything but qualified to be leading this Corps. To see these two allies duke it out should be dramatic and entertaining but the main question of who will emerge victorious and how this will impact the GL universe going forward, these ramifications have me psyched.

Justice League 3000 #1
Creative Team
Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, and Howard Porter
Solicitation
“The new series starring the heroes of today – tomorrow is resolicited, now with legendary artist Howard Porter (JLA) on board! But what are these heroes doing in the year 3000? And who (or what) brought them there? Get ready for a dose of wonder from the writing team of Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
NEW SERIES ALERT! I have to admit I was really looking forward to this series when Kevin Maguire was originally solicited as the artist, so when DC ditched him in favor of Porter I was beyond disappointed. A new version of JLI this is certainly not. While I am still intrigued to learn how these characters connect to our time’s Justice League, if Maguire and the more humorous tone that was originally intended had remained intact it would have been my most anticipated series this week. Now I’m unsure if I’m going to stay with it. This first issue will go a long way in assuaging my trepidations…or not.

Superman/ Wonder Woman #3
Creative Team
Charles Soule and Tony S. Daniel
Solicitation
“Zod unleashed! Can Superman and Wonder Woman stop this madman before he gains full power under the Earth’s yellow sun? Guest-starring the JLA, and featuring a shocking conclusion that could mean the end of Superman and Wonder Woman together!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Kneel before Zod. Yes, that is right. Zod is back. That in itself would be something to grab my attention but that line about “a shocking conclusion that could mean the end of Superman and Wonder Woman together” is even more interesting. Is the romance over? Superman-Wonder Woman no more? Lois Lane and Superman back on the cards? Probably not to either but just what could this shocking conclusion possibly be then? I can’t wait to discover the answer for myself!
