Between The Continuity – The New Schedule For February (01/22/14)

Icon

I teased it last week and it is now time to unveil the brand new schedule that kicks in at the start of February! Without further ado here it is:

Monday
Between The Continuity – I’ll discuss any Blog-related news and highlight the week that was in postings. (Previous Day: Wednesday)
Covers of the Week – I’ll list my Top 5 favourite covers from the week that was.

Tuesday
Retroactive – I’ll take you on a visual comic cover tour of the past. Each week I’ll display all the covers for a single year for two titles with my current focus being on The Flash and Uncanny X-Men.
The Rankings – I’ll rank my favourite comic series from each company in different categories and list my Top 5 comics from each week as well. (Previous Day: Monday)

Wednesday
Off The Shelf – I made a vow: every week I’ll pick up an issue for a series that wasn’t on my pull-list in the hopes of finding a hidden gem. Here is where we’ll see if my leap of faith paid dividends as I review my latest find.
#Trending Part 1 – I’ll highlight and offer my opinions on any comic-related news that occurred during the week. This will included any notable news about comic books from DC, Marvel, and the Independents. (Previous Day: Tuesday)

Thursday
To Be Decided…

Friday
Retroactive II – I’ll take you on a visual comic cover tour of the past. Each week I’ll display all the covers for a single year for two titles with my current focus being on Detective Comics and Daredevil.
#Trending Part 2 – I’ll highlight and offer my opinions on any comic-related news as it pertains to other media including comic-related movies, TV shows, video games, etc. (Previous Day: Thursday)

Saturday
The Comic-Verse:
Not only will you find links to the very best comic-related postings from each of my favourite fellow WordPress bloggers but you’ll also be treated to art from one talented individual. It is all about spreading the word while also honoring those people who tirelessly work away on blogs of their very own. (Previously Only Occurred Once A Month)
Around The Web: A new feature that will highlight various comic book related content including the very best Tweets, links to interesting trailers/videos, and everything in between. It is a feature that will evolve and grow over time.

Sunday
On The Radar – I’ll highlight the coming Wednesday’s new comics that I’m most looking forward to.

Other Changes
As discussed above, The Comic-Verse is expanding from a once a month feature to a weekly one starting in February. Creatively Speaking will still occur each month on an undetermined day. The Comic Connection will change slightly in that you are guaranteed at least one edition every month but if there is an abundance of topics to discuss it could occur two to three times a month. Also retaining its status as a Monthly Feature is Covers of the Month. These three heavy hitters are looking to be joined by at least two other Monthly Features over the coming months.
