When #Trending came back at the start of the year, it returned in a new format: twice a week, one edition focusing solely on comic books while the other focused on comic media. It was an experiment and I soon realized that while some weeks were full of comic book news and notes, others were pretty scarce. Last week’s edition, in particular, was so bare of any notable news that I didn’t even release an edition of #Trending and because of this fact I’ve decided to make #Trending whole once again. However, this does not solve my problem that originally created the need for the split to start with: #Trending was taking too much time to produce in a once-a-week installment. Thusly, not only is #Trending going to become whole once again but it will also be expanding. What this means is that #Trending will now come out three times a week, much like Retroactive does. Those three days will be on Monday (covering all the news from Friday-Sunday), Wednesday (covering all the news from Monday-Tuesday), and Friday (covering all the news from Wednesday-Thursday). Time will only tell if this is finally a winning formula for the feature!
My other big news this week is the announcement that the third ever guest posting is coming soon. Reid Vanier from Modern Mythologies will be treating us to his Off The Shelf experience with Marvel’s Loki: Agent of Asgard #1. I feel quite honored anytime someone is willing to write a feature for my humble blog and if you’ve ever read something of Reid’s from Modern Mythologies, you know we are in for quite a treat.
