Radar

In this feature I’ll highlight the upcoming comics that I’m looking forward to the most, the ones that are On My Radar:

Solicitation
“OVER-SIZED 25th ISSUE! Artist Stuart Immonen is joined by a practical comic book artist hall of fame for this special landmark issue!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
It is a 25th issue extravaganza as Bendis and Immonen welcome a cavalcade of artists to the title. Over-sized and stuffed with awesomeness is what is in store for us.

Batman Eternal #1
Batman Eternal #1

Creative Team
Scott Snyder and Jason Fabok
Solicitation

“Don’t dare miss the start of the Bat-story so big it’s going to take every week of the month to tell! A massive cast of Gotham City’s best (and worst) examines the relationship between Batman, his allies and his city. In this debut issue, Commissioner James Gordon is caught on the wrong side of the law!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
NEW SERIES ALERT. The first of DC’s new batch of Weekly titles is upon us and it looks to showcase some beloved favourites along with some characters that don’t get the chance to shine with their own title. While the one character I’m looking forward to the most is Stephanie Brown, the rotating teams on-board for this Weekly has my excitement levels at an all-time high. I love Batman and getting to partake in his universe every single week makes me very happy indeed.

Daredevil #1.50
Daredevil #1.50
Creative Team
Mark Waid, Javier Rodriguez, and Others
Solicitation
“Celebrate Daredevil’s fiftieth anniversary with a look at the future! A special standalone story that takes place on Matt Murdock’s 50th birthday. How has his life changed? Who lives? Who dies? See if you can spot all the clues the Daredevil creative team has planted for the year 2014! Plus: Stories by special guest creators from Murdock’s murky past! Fifty years without fear have all lead up to this!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Another celebratory issue for Marvel that reunites some old favourite creators along with the new team. Getting to peer into the future of Matt Murdock is an exciting prospect and I eagerly await the challenge of catching all those clues of where this series is headed as well.

Deadpool #27
Deadpool #27
Creative Team
Scott Koblish, Gerry Duggan, Brian Posehn, and Others
Solicitation
“It’s a Deadpool wedding! That’s right-the day you never dreamed would come has finally arrived . . . Deadpool is getting MARRIED! First up in this ENORMOUSLY OVERSIZED ISSUE is our the main feature-the biggest wedding since that one guy married that other guy as Deadpool and his mysterious bride tie the knot in a tale by Gerry Duggan, Brian Posehn, & Mike Hawthorne! THEN, we’ve rounded up EVERY writer to ever pen Wade’s series to celebrate this magical occasion! No self-respecting Poolophile can miss this one! It’s the most important issue 27 in the history of comics!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
What is this? Celebration week? Once again creators from the past are back including DC’s very own Gail Simone. It may be a very expensive issue but it looks like they aren’t going to pull any punches with this one. And yes, Deadpool is getting married as well. The most important issue #27 in the history of comics? That’s what they claim though I think a certain Dark Knight would have something to say about that…

Superman/Wonder Woman #7
Superman Wonder Woman #7
Creative Team
Charles Soule and Paulo Siqueira
Solicitation
“Doomsday has awakened and the Earth and heavens tremble! And discover how Superman and Wonder Woman survived a nuclear blast!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Issue #6 was fantastic and had one hell of a cliffhanger. It’s time to resolve said cliffhanger and I’m really wondering how they will pull it off as I discover the answer for myself.
