It caught me completely off guard and was nowhere on my radar but I took a chance and picked up Dynamite’s offering of Flash Gordon. I enjoyed the first issue so much that I made it a permanent addition to my pull list and debuted it at 15th Place.

  1. These are the comic books I read in October 2014:

    Dylan Dog # 301
    X # 17
    Wolverine Vol. 2 # 1 – 6
    Swamp Thing # 27
    The Phantom Stranger # 15
    Batgirl # 25

I read so few comics merely because the owner of my LCS had some problems with his supplier. Luckily now I have plenty of comics to read, thanks to the convention I went to 2 days ago.
Of course Wolverine Vol. 2 # 1 – 6 is the best read of the month; my favorite new comic book is X # 17, but Batgirl # 25 could have taken the cake with ease in any other month.
If I had to choose the best comic book of the month from an aesthetic point of view, Swamp Thing # 27 would win the gold medal hands down. The art of this series is simply jaw – dropping.
October 2014 was a very weak month for me also as a blogger: I couldn’t even get 2k clicks. In fact, I got 1991 visits: it’s been my worst month since May, when I got 1860 visits.
Anyway, even in October 2014 I got a good number of new followers (97).
What about you? Was October 2014 a good month for you as a reader and as a blogger?

    • “I read so few comics merely because the owner of my LCS had some problems with his supplier.”
So I take it that once he fixes the issue you’ll have a gluttony of comics coming your way?

“Was October 2014 a good month for you as a reader and as a blogger?”
I’m sorry to hear that your blog suffered a downtrend. It happens to everyone. For me, October beat my previous two Octobers while also becoming my third best month of all time.

Thanks for sharing your Top 3 books of the month! With so many quality reads I couldn’t even fathom to do as such. 🙂

      • “So I take it that once he fixes the issue you’ll have a gluttony of comics coming your way?” Exactly! 🙂
“For me, October beat my previous two Octobers while also becoming my third best month of all time.” Congratulations! 🙂
