Why It Was Awesome
The second comic in my Top 5 written by Mark Waid illustrates just how good he is. This month he dusts off a character that I had no clue even existed (the Shroud) and proceeded to weave a story that set him up as a twisted version of Daredevil complete with lack of visual sight. The revelation at the end of who the new crime boss really is was surprising but this issue was more than a one trick pony. From the twist start to the dinner scene to that tease about Foggy’s demise, this issue has it all and looks good doing it.

I didn’t know that Bullseye appeared in Elektra # 1. Is he still a blind paralysed man? Or it was just a flashback?
They had a quick flashback frame of him killing Elektra and then later on the newest villain broke into a secure facility to get to the paralysed version of Bullseye.
I figured it was a flashback of that scene. It became so iconic that you can find a reference to it in about half of the comics Elektra appears in. Thanks for the info! : )
I really enjoyed Daredevil #2 as well and Batman Eternal #3 was brilliant. I’m really enjoying my weekly issues of this Batman adventure its been so exciting 😀
Coming out with quality and exciting issues out of the gate was a must for DC to convince us to take the weekly plunge. They have succeed so far in that department!
Indeed, its been a great series, and I really like how the story is developing. Also great to enjoy a new issue every week.
