Back in the beginning arc of New Avengers, Captain America’s fellow Illuminati members betrayed him and wiped his memory. Now the time has come for that to betrayal to be brought to light and I can’t wait to see what Steve’s reaction will be.

Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Besides that absolutely gorgeous cover, the true standout is the looming mystery that this issue presents. Who is this individual spying on her? More importantly, why would someone want to spy on plain old Barbara Gordon? You don’t think this someone knows about her extracurricular activities do you? Very intriguing…

Why I’m Looking Forward To It
The second issue of “Justice League Canada” is actually the first issue numerically. Don’t ask me why they felt the need to have a zero issue but with that gripe aside I’m eagerly awaiting the new team to form and this issue looks to be the next step towards that happening.

New Avengers #18

Why I’m Looking Forward To It
This issue is the closest we are going to get to an Avengers VS Justice League showdown as our New Avengers squad does battle with some pretty familiar alternate characters. It should be fun to see though this being a Marvel title is there any question of which team will eventually emerge victorious?
