  1. I really like TMNT # 39.
First of all, it’s a classic action packed cover, showing some characters that fight against each other while falling down. In this case there isn’t a broken window, though.
Secondly, there are a lot of details that are highly eye – pleasing for me: raging faces, a lot of weapons, a smashed building…
Thirdly, the background has been drawn very meticulously. I also love the different colours used for the windows: some of them have a blue neon light, some others have a classic yellow light, and some others are in the dark.
Silver medal for Batwoman # 35: the main reason why this cover got the 2nd prize is Clayface’s presence, but I also love its mysterious vibe.
Bronze medal for Superior Foes of Spider – Man # 16, because even in this case we have a classic action packed detail: burning buildings.

Anytime Bebop and Rocksteady are on a cover it earns high-praise in my books. This image’s kinetic action as their battle hurtles them off the building speaks volumes. Here we have a two-on-one which is not only very cool looking but further sells the character they are facing off against (Slash) as someone extremely powerful, so powerful in fact that they are throwing caution to the wind to beat him.

      Thanks for sharing your Rankings!

  2. Great choice of cover, Uncanny X-Men #27 is brilliant, I like how it shows Cyclops’ powers going on the fritz and the humming bird floating right in front o f him. Lovely colors as well, a beautiful cover!
