Each week, countless titles see release from all the various comic companies out there. Some will be good, some will be bad, and some will be downright excellent. Of course, we don’t know which will be which but what we do know is which are our most anticipated. With that said, it is time once again to highlight the upcoming comics that I’m looking forward to the most, the ones that are On My Radar:

All-New X-Men #36
Creative Team
Brian Michael Bendis and Mahmud A. Asrar
Solicitation
“The Ultimate face-off you KNEW was bound to happen! All-New X-Men versus the Ultimate X-Men! But when both side are heroes, who can be the victor? And what side does this leave Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man on?”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
The Original Five VS the Ultimate X-Men. This issue is, in hindsight, the perfect prelude to Secret Wars in a way and has been building up for months. Seriously, who doesn’t want to see these two teams square off?

Amazing Spider-Man #14
Creative Team
Dan Slott and Giuseppe Camuncoli
Solicitation
“THE CLIMACTIC CONCLUSION TO SPIDER-VERSE! The Prophecy is coming to fruition but Superior Spider-Man has something up his sleeve.”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
It all ends here! Over the last few months, every Spider-Man ever have done battle with Morlun and family in a fight for their survival. Now the time has come for the grand resolution, a resolution that will not only provide balls to the wall action but most assuredly a twist or two. Who will live? Who will die? Will Spider-Man be irrevocably changed by the experience? Questions, questions, questions and I can’t wait to discover those answers and more.

Harley Quinn: Valentine’s Day Special #1
Creative Team
Amanda Conner and John Timms
Solicitation
“Love is in the air in New York City! The planet’s richest bachelor, Bruce Wayne, is in town for a charity auction – and the highest bidder gets a date with Mr. Tall, Dark, and Brooding! Good thing Harley Quinn just came into some money (please, whatever you do, don’t ask how). But can Bruce really spend a night with Harley without her learning how he spends his nights?”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Harley and Bruce, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Yeah, on second thought probably not. Still, getting to see the wacky Harley interact with Batman’s alter ego is too good of a prospect to pass up.

Secret Six #2
Creative Team
Gail Simone and Ken Lashley
Solicitation
“What is Catman’s strange secret – and how will it affect this new team? Find out in the second sensational issue of SECRET SIX!”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
The first issue was okay. It established all the characters, got the essential plot going, and did all the necessary set-up. Then came an unfortunate two month delay which set this series back so soon in its young life. Despite all of that, Simone plus the Secret Six cannot equal anything but something awesome and I’m eager to see where the follow-up issue takes us. As a side bonus, two issues of Secret Six this month. Yay!

Thor #5
Creative Team
Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman
Solicitation
“The mysterious all-new Thor has taken Midgard by storm. But if her enemies have their say, her reign as the Goddess of Thunder will be a short one. Prince Odinson is making a list and checking it twice. All-Father Odin is so desperate to see Mjolnir returned to Asgard that he will call on some very dangerous, very unexpected allies. And the Absorbing Man and Titania are just up to their usual tricks. Namely, robbing banks and crushing anyone who dares get in their way.”
Why I’m Looking Forward To It
Five issues in and I’m still reading a Thor comic. My longest previous streak with the title was two issues so this is a real testament to Mr. Aaron that he has grabbed my attention for this long already. It has defied my expectations so far and blown away all those naysayers that complained this female Thor was merely a blatant gender swap.

And the title of my Most Anticipated Comic Book For 02/11/15 goes to….
Amazing Spider-Man #14
Countless months and numerous tie-ins have built my anticipation levels for the grand finale.

With that said, the final tally stands at DC Comics (8 Issues), Marvel (4 Issues), and Independent (3 Issues). So that’s my Pull List for the week. What’s yours? What comics are you most looking forward to? Comment below!
All-New Ghost Rider, All-New X-Men, Captain Marvel, Princeless, X-Force, X-Men.
I have never heard of this Princeless title. Obviously from a smaller publisher. What about it has earned a place on your pull-list?
Well, turns out my local shop didn’t have it, so I didn’t pick it up after all. But it’s a cute, fun series. A cute take on classic princess tropes, with a black princess deciding to rescue herself and all her sisters from their separate towers.
That does sound great. I will have to look more into the series. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. 🙂
Yeah, Amazing Spider-Man 14 is my most anticipated also. The event, while not perfect and maybe a bit bloated, has been a lot of fun and the finale should be great. All New X-Men 36 should be good also, and let’s hope that Guardians of the Galaxy can continue to build on the strong premise that Legendary Star Lord and Black Vortex Alpha kicked off. Also, the preview art for Thor 5 is simply gorgeous.
On a side-note, with All New coming out this week, it means that my favourite X-Men character, X-23, is going to at least appear in 3 comics this coming week (also Guardians of the Galaxy 24 and Wolverines 6). In fact, there’s a chance she’ll appear in at least 2 comics a week for the next three months. While I’m looking forward to that, I hope this won’t be a regular thing. I’d like to see her have a bigger part to play in the Marvel Universe but overexposure could both ruin that and give her contradictory characterization, which is part of what ruined Wolverine for me after a while. I might talk more about this sometime soon on my blog or I might just wait and see – depending on how I feel later.
Also picking up Justice League United 9 (since they announced that Jeff Lemire is leaving the title, I’ll stick with it until his run ends since I’ve come this far already), Witchblade 180, Captain Marvel 12, Cyclops 10, Thor 5, Wolverines 6, X-Force 15 and X-Men 24.
Is X-23 going to become the next Wolverine in terms of appearances? She is a clone of Wolverine after all… 🙂
As for the Spider-Verse event, the only real thing that bugged me about the series was the title constantly telling us to go follow this plot here and go follow this plot there. It got to be a little distracting. Still it was a solid event and Slott should deliver a satisfying conclusion.
Thanks, as always, for sharing your pull list.
Can’t wait for Amazing Spiderman #14 as well, really enjoyed the Spiderverse, so looking forward to this. All New Xmen #36 sounds great as well!
The only thing that is more exciting than ASM #14 is the recent announcement that Spidey is heading to the Marvel Movie-Verse!
I think its great news as well, Spidey need to be a part of the MCU, so pleased that’s its going to happen now. Be awesome to see Spidey in Avengers!!
