Snyder Reveals First Look At Aquaman

Zack Snyder has released our first look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman with the tagline: Unite the Seven. I’m unsure to whether it refers to the seven seas or seven members of the Justice League but that aside; how awesome does he look!? I’d like to see maybe a little more orange in honour of Aquaman’s traditional costume; there’s a hint of it on his armour already, but the picture is mostly black and white.

Young Nightcrawler Cast In Apocalypse

Bryan Singer has announced that Kodi Smit-McPhee will be playing a young Nightcrawler in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film. The actor thanked the director writing, “I am humbled and honored to be joining this incredible project and to be able to tell the story of the well respected young mutant”.

Morena Baccarin Cast As The Lead In Deadpool

Gotham star Morena Baccarin will be playing Ryan Reynold’s love interest in the upcoming Deadpool movie. No other information on her character has been revealed yet but speculation has already risen amongst fans with names such as Siryn, Copycat, and Typhoid Mary jumping out.

1) Marvel promises to reveal female Thor’s identity: Since Marvel replaced Thor with a new mysterious female character last year there has been much speculation to her identity. Marvel’s solicitations have stated that in May’s Thor #8, her identity will finally be revealed

2) Man dies from “uppercut by Batman”: When comic fan Stephen Merrill passed away suddenly, his family was unable to provide a cause of death for his obituary. Hence they made one up: killed by an uppercut from Batman.

3) Laura Benanti joins Supergirl: Tony winner Laura Benanti has been casted as Kara’s Kryptonian mother, Alura Zor-El. Much like Jor-El does for Superman, she will be guiding Kara on her path to becoming Supergirl.

4) Doug Jones for Deathbolt: Doug Jones will be appearing on Arrow as the villain Deathbolt and will be making his appearance in the 19th episode titled ‘Broken Arrow’. There has been a slight change in his metahuman ability, being the manipulation of plasma energy rather than electricity as it is in the comic.

 

5) Triple addition to AKA Jessica Jones: Three new cast members have been announced for Marvel’s upcoming AKA Jessica Jones series. Eka Darville will be playing Jones’ neighbour Malcolm, Erin Moriarty has been cast as a young client and Wil Traval is an NYPD cop.
