Between The Continuity – Retroactive’s Future

Last week I mentioned that I would be addressing the future of Retroactive. With all the new ideas I have percolating in my head, it just made sense to reduce the number of Retroactives. Currently I’m covering Flash/Uncanny X-Men, Teen Titans/Ultimate Spider Man, Nightwing/Fantastic Four, and TMNT/Hellboy while wwayne has his twice per month edition. Of those I’ve listed, Flash has 9 editions left, Uncanny has 2, USM has 5, and Nightwing has 10. My game plan is thus:

1. When Uncanny X-Men ends, the Flash will be forming a triple-header with Nightwing/Fantastic Four until both Nightwing and Flash end their runs.
2. When Ultimate Spider-Man wraps up, it will be replaced by X-Men.
3. Upon the completion of Teen Titans, Green Lantern will slide into place while Nightwing will give way to a Batman-centric title to be announced later.
4. The arrival of Green Lantern will then see the finale of X-Men rather quickly in my estimates which would mean a new Marvel title to team-up with it.

This will essentially end us with Green Lantern/(Unannounced Marvel Title), (Unannounced Batman Title)/Fantastic Four, and my Independent Retroactive which will undoubtedly have new replacements by this time as well. I also plan to revive the Retroactive One-Shot once per month as well. Reducing Retroactive from four to three features will definitely free up some time for more excitement in the future!

looking-aheadwwayne brings us Batman Confidential to his Retroactive since Gotham Central has ended its run. Look for it in the next day or so.

On that note, this week’s offering of Between The Continuity has reached its end. I hope everyone has an excellent week and manages to read some great stuff. Until next time, I leave you with three words that sum up this blog and life in general:
