It is time once again for The Cosplay Runway. Each and every week I highlight five fantastic cosplay images, showcasing both men and women. For the uninitiated, cosplay is “a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character or idea.” All the cosplay featured here will be centralized on comics whether it be from DC, Marvel, or the Independents. Red Hood and the Outlaws is kind of funny, parodying the whole controversy over Sunfire’s New 52 outfit. Another good showcase, and the Green Arrow picture again hints that you should just do a Rule 63 special version sometime. There’s some good female Cyclops, female shredder, some awesome female joker pictures and of course, Manstique. Yeah, most of them are female, but every now and then there’s a guy daring enough to do it.
Picking my favourite this week is rather difficult. On one hand I really enjoy the Red Hood and the Outlaws one, on the other hand that Cable pic is spot-on. As for an all Rule 63 edition, I might do it one of these days but I think for the time being I’ll continue to sprinkle them in the regular editions.
