April is officially over and it is that time once again to look back at the month that was. I knew going in to April that it was always going to be one of my weaker months as the big A-to-Z challenge that other bloggers were engaging in always takes away from my views. In fact, last year April was my worst month of the entire year. With that said, I’m happy to reveal that this April was my best April ever and even beat February of this year in total views. I’m pretty confident that next year, with all the changes that are going to be happening in my life later on this year, I’m going to have enough free time to participate in the A-to-Z challenge of 2016. Turning back to this month however, my Top 12 articles for the month in terms of total views were as follows:
#1: The Character Spotlight – Issue #6: Star-Lord (Peter Quill)
#2: Lost Voice: How The Canary Lost Her Cry
#3: The Vanier Report: Tales From A DC Pull List (Batman Eternal #52 Review)
#4: The Vanier Report: Tales From A DC Pull List (Convergence: Green Lantern/Parallax #1 Review)
#5: Between The Continuity – The End Cometh: A 1000th Post Milestone
#6: Retroactive Special Edition: Green Arrow Through The Decades
#7: wwayne Presents – Retroactive: Batman Confidential 2008 & Generation X 1999
#8: The Vanier Report: Tales From A DC Pull List (Convergence: Hawkman #1 Review)
#9: The Cosplay Runway 04/11/15
#10: The Vanier Report: Tales From A DC Pull List (Convergence: The Question #1 Review)
#11: The Character Spotlight – Issue #9: Deathstroke (Slade Wilson)
#12: The Cosplay Runway 04/18/15
Of the Top 12 I’m most pleased that the Top 2 were actually long since written features with the ever so reliable Character Spotlight of Star-Lord rearing its head yet again and my well received Black Canary piece continuing to chug along. The Vanier Report continues to pay dividends coming in with 4 spots including 3rd and 4th overall. Rounding out my Top 12 is wwyane’s fantastic guest piece, two more older features, a rare appearance by a Between The Continuity posting, and two editions of the Cosplay Runway.
In other areas my Top 5 referrers were The Old Reader, Arousing Grammar, Twitter, WordPress Reader, and Modern Mythologies. Finally, My Top 5 Search Terms were “star lord”, “overman earth 10”, “spotlights cartoon”, “secret origins poison ivy”, and “firefly from the batman.” And that is April in summation!
In other news, I’m hopeful to knock out some Retroactives this week with my planned two editions of Flash/Uncanny X-Men plus Uncanny X-Men through the decades coming to fruition. This week also marks my birthday so I’m super excited for that and to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. I’m also going to take a big leap of faith coming up…but more on that next week.

On that note, this week’s offering of Between The Continuity has reached its end. I hope everyone has an excellent week and manages to read some great stuff. Until next time, I leave you with three words that sum up this blog and life in general:
Thank you for your compliments and, most of all, for bringing to my attention the gorgeous woman named Blake Northcott. Have a nice birthday! 🙂
It was an awesome day for sure! Thank you. 🙂
Thank you as well for your replies! 🙂
What is this A-Z challenge and why would it affect you?
The A-to-Z challenge is an event a lot of bloggers take part in during April. They craft 26 postings (one for each letter of the alphabet) with a general theme to unite them and promote them and share with others. It takes up a lot of time and focus and I feel that, at least for my site, I sort of get lost in the shuffle due to it compared to other months.
Have a great birthday and enjoy Avengers Age of Ultron :o)
I had a great time. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts on Age of Ultron with my next Between The Continuity post.
Awesome, will look forward to hearing what you thought about the film. Age of Ultron was brilliant, glad you had a fun time going to see the movie on your birthday! Have a great weekend!
