#Trending In The World Of Comics 04/27/15: (An All-New Joker, Avengers Dominate, The Dark Knight Returns Yet Again, & Other News!)

First Look At Leto’s Jokerjokerleto

Celebrating the Joker’s 75th anniversary, David Ayer tweeted out the first look at Jared Leto as the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad. Whilst it has clearly drawn inspiration from the comics, it certainly is quite different to the Jokers we are accustomed to. On a related note, Common has joined the already huge cast in an unnamed role, some are speculating to be Black Manta.


Close-Up Look and New Postersbatman-v-superman

Following the release of the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, Zack Snyder has put out two official posters for the film.

Avengers Dominate Box OfficeAvengers-Age-of-Ultron

North America is still awaiting the opening of Avengers: Age of Ultron, but overseas the latest Marvel blockbuster has amassed a total of $201.2 million!

Frank Miller will return to write the final chapter in the world of The Dark Knight Returns. The conclusion will be named The Dark Knight III: The Master Race with publication slated for late Fall 2015. Miller will be joined by writer Brian Azzarello. The artists have yet to be named.

LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have been tasked with the writing and production of a new animated Spider-Man film, set independent of the existing live-action universe. The release has been dated for July 20, 2018.

1) More DaredevilOpening to mass acclaim, Daredevil has officially been given a second season. Steven DeKnight has stepped down however, allowing Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez to replace him as the showrunners. Charlie Cox has made some wishes for the direction he hopes the show to go, naming characters like Punisher, Elektra, Bullseye and even Black Widow, to show up.

2) Deadpool is over the hump: Ryan Reynolds tweeted out this week a bloody picture, announcing that Deadpool has crossed the halfway point of production.

TMNT Vehicles: Michael Bay
has released some images showing off the new rides to appear in the TMNT sequel (wonder what they transform into). Tyler Perry has also joined the cast as Baxter Stockman.



Arkham Knight teasers: Rocksteady put out some teaser trailers in anticipation for the full trailer reveal today. They feature characters from the previous games (Catwoman, Azarel) and now Nightwing has joined the series. Without further ado, here’s the full trailer:

Scribe for Wolverine: 
Reports say that Michael Green has been penned in to write the script for the third Wolverine movie. Official details for the plot have yet to be revealed, although there is speculation of a Professor X/Wolverine team up.
