On the set of Civil Warcrossbones-captain-america-pic

With production for Captain America: Civil War up and running, lots of set photos have shown up online. There’s Chris Evans suited up in both his costume and a real suit, Anthony Mackie back as Falcon and most interesting of all (for now), the first look at Frank Grillo in his Crossbones get up.

1) McConaughey in talks with Marvel and DC: Matthew McConaughey is reported to be in talks with both Marvel Studios and Warner Bros for a spot in one of their respective cinematic universes. When asked about a superhero role, the actor responded with “I’ve read some Marvel and DC scripts and I’ve talked about working with them on some scripts, none of which I’ll share with you what they are — or were. Yeah, I’ve circled some of those. Nothing has been right for me yet. But I’m sure open to it.”

2) Sticks the landing: Ryan Reynolds has shown off an action shot from Deadpool with the caption “Stuck the landing. With my mouth”

3) The Devil has come: FOX has revealed the trailer for the upcoming comic book adaptation of Lucifer.

4) Preacher Pilot Production: Seth Rogen has tweeted out the first look at Dominic Cooper as Reverend Jesse Custer as the pilot for Preacher began shooting this week.
5) New X-Men and more Apocalypse set photos: A new spinoff for the X-Men film franchise has been announced, adapting The New Mutants. The film is set to be directed by Josh Boone, who will also co-write the script. Bryan Singer has also hit up social media again with more photos from the filming of X-Men: Apocalypse. In particular, he posted a somewhat cryptic image which he describes as “a mutant guided incoming owl”
6) New Addition to TMNT 2: Following the casting of Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Gary Anthony Williams has been announced to play Bebop in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

And that concludes this week’s edition of #Trending. Thoughts on any subjects discussed? Anything else worth mentioning? Comment below!
